  1. Loved the program today! To my surprise, I recently discovered I have some food sensitivities (gluten & egg) due to poor digestion. I've been majorly restructuring my diet and am currently 5 weeks into an 8-week candida cleanse. I am so glad you mentioned the addictive properties of sugar and what it does to our bodies. I also love how you illuminated the fact that changing one's diet takes time and determination, but is beneficial in the long run. I am already experiencing positive results from healthier eating habits, but it was helpful to be reminded today to stay strong on the journey to physical recovery. :) Thank you. ~Anne J.

  2. Hi Andrea! I listened to Toxic Talk Tuesday this week. Thank you for it, I always walk away with so much to think about and to research as well as great wisdom for better living/eating. I have gleaned so many treasures from you, so thank you!! :)

After listening to toxic talk on tuesday and reading your blog this past couple months, for me, I need to really be focusing on getting my blood sugar stable through diet. I don't have diabetes, but it runs in my family. I'm one of those who eats healthy, organic, etc. But as I've been exploring the importance of keeping our blood sugar stable, I'm beginning to realize how little I know about what foods (besides the obvious) raise my glucose levels. I don't have a way to physically check my blood sugar, but I'm learning that even foods that are considered "healthy" may sometimes raise blood sugar and be very hard on our bodies.

So with that in mind, I would love it if you could someday do a post for us about foods that Colin is able to eat that keep his blood sugar stable. I know you are following the GAPS diet and eat very specific foods already (no dairy, no processed, no sugars, etc.) But my hope is that you could share a list (even if short) of foods that you can count on to keep him stable (if there are any)? Also any "surprise" foods that always cause problems even though you'd expect them not to? And last, have you found that foods that do keep him stable correspond to the foods on the Low Glycemic Index or have you found the GI Index to not always be "reliable" in your real life experience?

Thank you again for your wealth of information. Thanks for inspiring us to research and dig into information for ourselves about how to eat and what to feed our families as opposed to just letting the culture tell us and shape us.
