Healthy Christmas Treats

Looking for fun ways to celebrate the Christmas season without all the sugar?

Cacao Snowman
Colin used our now-favorite Cacao Almond Ball Recipe to create this Frosty Friend. He used goji berries for mittens!

Chocolate Carrot Cake
Brandon adapted this Carrot Cake Recipe using cultured butter and cacao powder for the frosting. He used stevia in place of sugar.

Santa Berries
I tried these Santa Berries recently using cream kefir and coconut cream for the "frosting." The recipe can be found at HandPicked Nation.

With treats like these, who needs Figgy Pudding or Roasted Marshmallows?

  1. Love the mittens!!! Made yummy Andy Balls (which look like snow balls if you roll in fine dried coconut) with fermented dates, almonds, walnuts, and goji--so tasty.

  2. Thank you, Andrea. We're learning today the hard way brownie frosting has high maltose corn syrup, made with fungal alpha amylase which comes from aspergillus oryzal. Diet is critical to fungal hypersensitivity.
